Woodhill Hall is a beautiful private wedding venue which has exclusive use for couples to not only get married but to stay too. We had the pleasure of not only visiting the wedding venue for the first time on Saturday but also to film a wedding.
Abbey and David picked an amazing venue that is blessed with quaint little wooden cabins in the woods as well as more traditional accommodation in the courtyard. Abbey stayed in the stunning bridal suite which is an amazing eery room with freestanding bath and some generous mirrors, which are perfect for filming.
It is also a venue that is pet-friendly, one of the reasons why the couple chose to get married there. Their English bulldogs Brian and Bridget took centre stage for the wedding with some funky wedding attire on as well as key positions for the wedding ceremony.
The wedding saw some real poignant moments that we filmed. Moments that I'm sure Abbey and David will treasure forever. Abbey's grandmother had undergone open-heart surgery 18 months ago so it was a really special moment for Abbey to reveal her dress to her grandmother before she walked down the aisle.
The wedding ceremony room is light so perfect for shooting in and overlooks the Northumberland countryside with views that go on for miles and miles. Together with unlimited outdoor spaces for taking wedding photographs and video, it is definitely a place that should be talked about more.
After the wedding reception drinks, it was onto the wedding breakfast which was held in a large tipi in the grounds of Woodhill Hall which comfortably fits large wedding parties. On the day we were joined by musician Andy Usher who was there all day providing the music and on the night his vibrant SaxDJ set where he plays the Saxophone along to some Ibiza club classics.
Being a wedding videographer it is great to meet and work with new people all the time. On Saturday we had the pleasure of working alongside photographer Fiona Saxton for the first time.
Not only did we film those key moments we also shot some of the footage with a 30-year-old camcorder on VHS-C tape. Molly, one of the bridesmaids asked to take some of this footage so she went around the guests filming them and it was these moments where they really let go in front of the camera with smiles, waves and a few funky little dance moves from Abbey's father. We used some of the camcorder footage in the Woodhill Hall wedding film introduction too.

Not only is the venue one of our favourites to film weddings I must say that the service from the staff was first class and friendly. Some venues are run too corporate but the team at Woodhill Hall definitely put its guests first. Let's hope we can return again in the future to experience the venue again.

Abbey and David's English Bulldog's Brian and Bridget played a starring role in their wedding day so we put together this little montage for them.
